Born with the hospitality gene, Jordan Piazza grew up working in his father’s legendary seafood restaurant, where he began washing dishes at 8 years old. He worked closely with his father at Phil’s Oyster Bar until he was 18, when his father passed away and the restaurant ultimately closed. Jordan continued working in the hospitality industry, managing bars and restaurants and eventually working alongside the founders of Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux and later Raising Cane’s. Along with his brother Anthony, Jordan was responsible for the rebirth of Phil’s Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant, reopening the Baton Rouge institution in 2016. In 2019, Jordan partnered in the revitalization of Uncle Earl’s Bar, which is a local favorite for a night out, private parties, and special events such as the Earlapalooza concert series – Baton Rouge’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Filling a need for the growing event business at Uncle Earl’s, Jordan recently opened a full-service catering facility next to the bar. In addition to onsite events, The Caterie offers full-service catering and bar services. Jordan is passionate about his hometown and creating local establishments ingrained in the Baton Rouge community.
